A standout amongst the most venerated temples in South Assam, Kacha Kanti Kali Temple goes back to nineteenth century. It was implicit 1806 AD by then Kachari King and was later remodelled in 1978.

Arranged at around 11 km from Silchar stands, this sanctuary is devoted to Mother Goddess ‘Kacha Kanti’, who is said to be amalgamation of 2 effective Hindu god, i.e. Durga and Kali. It is likewise said that till 1818 AD, even human penances were offered to the Goddess here.
