Sivasagar school cricket ends

 SIVASAGAR, March 7 – Godhula Brown Memorial English School became champions in the 24th AP Rao-Khireswar Dutta Inter School Cricket tournament defeating St John School of Demow by 8 wickets here today.Opting to bat first St John School was all out for 77 in 15.4 overs. In reply Godhula Brown reached target in 20.1 overs by scoring 78 for the loss of two wickets. Altogether 11 teams took part in the championship. The individual prize winner are – Jyotisman Bhuyan (MoM in final), Sekhar Ghosh (Best Batsman), Gopal Gattani (Best Bowler), Debashis Gogoi (Man-of-the-Tournament).

In the closing function, compared by Manoj Bhagawati, prizes were distributed by Abdul Jalil, IS-Sivasagar, PR Mili, president, SSA, R Bhagawati, vice president of Zangam, organiser of the championship, among others.
